Planning your session

Please avoid stripes, patterns and plaid clothing. Solid clothing is a better choice. Bring a variety of different colored outfits. Avoid large, bold brand names or words on clothing. Bring a variety of clothing choices to dressy to casual for varied looks in portraits. If you think you have large arms, be careful of sleeveless styles, they can make your arms look fuller. For guys bring a dark t-shirt to wear under dark shirts. Don’t forget to bring appropriate foundation wear for each outfit. Some portrait poses are close up, others full length. Plan outfits completely. Please bring different shoes for each outfit!

Avoid changing your hairstyle or cutting your hair right before your session. Let it be natural. Quick and easy hairstyle changes during the session are OK to give you different looks in your portraits. Bring your hair care tools and products with you for touch ups.

Keep it simple! We want the attention to be on you. Big, shiny jewelry can be distracting. Bring different jewelry for different outfits and looks.

Makeup should only be slightly heavier than normal. About like you might wear in the evening. Bring makeup for touchups.

Please make sure you are clean shaven for your session.We retouch minor blemishes and scars. So don’t worry about minor breakouts.

Nails show! If you have the paint chipped off, it will show. When are posing in bare feet it will show, so don’t forget your toes! Avoid bright colors of polish. Natural or basic colors work best.

BRING THEM! Bring props that define who you are. Some popular choices are: Sports equipment (soccer ball, football etc...) Don’t forget your Sports uniforms and letter jacket. Music instruments, awards, trophies .Bring items that include your hobbies and activities. We can photograph your car or motorcycle also.
